I recently watched "Memento (2000)", and it sparked an old urge to express it in my own way. So, I decided to try something different:
I designed SEVEN Blu-ray Disc Labels that reflect my personal impression of the film, rather than simply reworking familiar imagery.
Each version grew out of a specific emotional angle:
One captures the tension of lost memory, another follows the confusion of the split timelines, a third uses emptiness and white space as part of the narrative, and a few lean more toward inner expression than cinematic form.
I wasn’t aiming to imitate any particular style. I wanted to see how the film would look when interpreted visually from within from the first impression to the last layer of meaning.
The whole process felt like trying to understand the quiet chaos the film creates, and turning it into images that can stand on their own.
The design ↓ below is prepared for print at 300 dpi and includes full bleed and a safe margin. The file is optimized for high-quality printing, ensuring clean edges and protecting all important elements near the borders. All essential print settings are included to guarantee accurate output without losing any details in text, images, or final edges.
